For people who love their dogs, and their homes.
Why KINNE exists, and why we made the bed the way we did.
Edition 01 · OatI started KINNE to make a dog bed that works as well as it looks.
I started KINNE because I couldn't find an orthopedic bed that actually worked for my Japanese Spitz. He has a luxating patella, which means his kneecap slips out of place. A bed can't fix that, but the right one takes the pressure off his joints, and I want him enjoying his walks for as long as possible.
Every bed I tried flattened within months, until he was basically lying on the floor.
So I started designing one myself. I wanted gel-infused memory foam on top to keep him cool and to spread his weight off his hips and elbows, with a firm support core underneath so his joints wouldn't sink through over time. It also had to look like it belonged in a home, with a cover tough enough to take years of clawing and circling.
It took three rounds of samples to get right.
Everything in the bed is named, so you know exactly what your dog is lying on.
When I was looking for a bed, most just said "orthopedic" and left it there. There was no way to tell what was inside, or whether it would hold up.
The cover is a polyester-linen weave rated past 50,000 double rubs, well beyond the 30,000 heavy-duty commercial seating is rated for. It's the part your dog lies against, so the fabric is certified to OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100. The foam underneath is CertiPUR-US certified, and the bed is tested to TB 117-2013, California's smolder-resistance standard for upholstered furniture.

Firm enough that your dog's joints don't sink to the floor.
A water-resistant layer between cover and foam that wipes clean.
YKK concealed zip. The cover comes off in one pass for the wash.
Two sizes and one cover, so we could get each one right.
Edition 01 comes in two sizes and one color, Oat, a warm neutral that sits well next to wood, linen and stone. Starting with one cover meant we could put everything into getting one weave right, instead of spreading ourselves across several.
Your dog might be twice his size. A heavier dog puts more weight through every joint each time it lies down, so the foam has to work even harder, and I made sure both sizes are built for that.
Built for the dog, designed for you.
